FAQs

Q. What makes Majestic Pools the best choice?

A. Majestic Pools is the most efficient and stable inground pool company in Western New York. We have been in business since 1967 and have been the largest since 1971. We have built over 5,000 pools and work out of our 70,000-sq.-ft. facility that is geared strictly toward inground pools. We have more equipment than all the other pool builders in Western New York combined.

Q. What kind of material are your pools constructed of?

A. Our standard pools are constructed of 14-gauge galvanized steel, with a 30-year guarantee. We also offer stainless steel with a lifetime guarantee, which no other pool company in Western New York offers.

Q. What about coping?

A. Our coping (rim) is made of 12-gauge stainless steel (exclusive to our pools) or white finish aluminum. One of our biggest competitors uses all plastic coping to cut costs.

Q. What about structural strength?

A. Majestic Pools are designed with A-frame and deck support braces (10 GA, bolted with 3/8 inch bolts) every 3 to 4 feet around the perimeter, making the deck an integral part of the pool. Thus, our pools are self-supporting units. All our competitors use 14 GA supports (lighter) with 1/8-inch screws. The water is the very last thing that goes into our pools, as we do not need the water to hold our walls as many other types of construction do. This is important if you ever have to drain the pool.

Q. What about the pool bottom?

A. Our liner pools use a concrete mix that we make on the job site, on a truck designed just for this purpose. We use an average of 50 bags of cement in each pool, while some other companies use about half a dozen. Our stainless steel pool bottom uses an average of 25 yards of 4,000 lb. reinforced concrete with a marcite finish.

Q. What about plumbing?

A. All of our pools are plumbed with a skimmer, bottom drain, and two returns. Four separate lines individually run to the filter, with no underground tees. All piping is run 3½ feet below ground level and mostly encased in concrete. One of our competitors runs the plumbing just under the surface hanging off the braces by wire where it is susceptible to frost and damage from the wire cutting through the pipe as it vibrates because he does not have trenching machines as we do.

Q. What about quality workmanship?

A. Our employees average 35 years of age, and all supervisors have an average of 15 years of experience. Quality and pride of workmanship are our MOST important products. Our workmanship can be seen with all our pools and patio enclosures.

Q. What about small yards, fences, trees, etc.?

A. We are the leader in working in difficult or nearly impossible situations. We can overcome almost any obstacle and pride ourselves on those achievements. We take down and put up fences, move trees, and pull out stumps, usually at no extra charge to the customer. We are the only pool company with a mini excavator and a fleet of small 1-ton dump trucks.

Q. What about pouring the deck walkway right away?

A. We pour our concrete decks on the second day of construction because our pool has an A-frame deck support every 3 feet around the perimeter that is completely encased in concrete with wire mesh. The deck is self-supporting and will remain intact even if undermined. If a pool installation site is off-level, we also put concrete piers at 6-ft. intervals down to virgin soil. The walkway is 3 ft. or more wide and only over spans an excavation of 18-20 inches. Compare this with the construction of a bridge or parking ramp that is made of concrete and steel and spans 50-100 feet with tons of weight on top. Therefore, the story of it being necessary to let the ground settle for a couple of weeks is a myth. This story is told by builders who do not pour their own decks and must wait for the sub-contractor or by those who do not install A-frame deck supports and piers. Loose backfill takes years, not weeks, to settle 100%. All of our concrete is poured with our own mobile mixer trucks. You do not want to go through half the summer walking around your pool in mud. If you buy from some of our competitors, this could happen.

Q. What about service and parts?

A. We have a complete service department capable of repairing or servicing any of the equipment that we sell. You can rely on us for hot tub service, pool service, spa service, and more. We stock all the necessary parts for any type of repair. One of our main competitors has only one serviceman and after the first year refers you to another service company, and the competitor has no place of business where you can go for parts and service.
